Signal Source Receiving

Equipments receive digital satellite signal source, local studio programs and A/V signal source. In this process, TS stream, A/V or HDMI audio video signal covert to IP stream out. We would like to recommend our high quality headend eqiupments which are suitble for the system.They are typical product of satellite receiver IRD, mpeg-2 SD encoder and MPEG-4 HD encoder.

Modulation,Multiplexing and Scrambling

The main function of multiplexing technology can multiplex TS streams of different programs to one TS stream out with multiple programs.

This process can make the TS convenient for transmisstion.The signal scrambling is selected in accordance with the properties of the target signals.

The scrambling systems must satisfy some requirements, such as it must be difficult for a third party to perform unauthorized reception and scrambled signal content must not be understandable, besides, efficient scrambling of all kind of signas must be possible, various business formats such as multi-channel services and billing schemes must be supported and so on .

After scrambling the TS, in order to reduce the loss in long distance transmission, the TS streams need to be modulated into RF signal. Modulation is transmitting mpeg-ts  into stable high frequency oscillation signal. The modulated signal could be sent to near building, family or remote terminal users via another QAM device. You can choose your modulator according to sd/hd channels quantity.

In our solution, both multiplexing and scrambling process are combine to signal modulation module in a QAM modulator.

Conditional access and user management

Conditional Access System is the key position between Scrambling of the multiplexed programs and Subscriber Management System. Provider can control the system, add/reduce programs or embedding other business contents. By means of management and authorization, provider can achieve paid services.

CAS(Conditional Access System)– security enhanced pay TV solution, and was designed to provide the most security media contents protection to operators. It can encrypt control words and user authorization information within a stable and highly secured environment, and fully compatible with DVB Simul-Crypt standard.

In order to cater to the needs of ever-expanding digital television network, the DIBSYS’s CAS enables TV operators to deploy a medium-sized TV network in initial phase and large scale by network expansion phase wherever in cable, satellite or terrestrial. Furthermore, DIBSYS’s CAS support a number of mechanisms of content protection for better operator’s investment, such as 3DES and AES encryption algorithm, smart card & STB binding, zone control, black list management and so on.

SMS(Subscriber Management System)–supports flexible subscriber management and servicing operations, including value-added services such as message charging, voice charging and malfunction reporting. The system is based on modular design, so that customers are able to choose different modules and interfaces in accordance with their own needs, or request for dedicated modules and interfaces to achieve seamless merging with their existing systems.

Meanwhile, we could also integrate customer’s office automation system, equipment management system and program management system onto a unified platform, with necessary re-design for system reliability and safety as a whole.

HFC Internet

A communications network (typically a cable TV network) that uses a combination of optical fibers and coaxial cable. The fiber provides the high-speed backboe, and the coax is used to connect end users to the backbone. Such networks typically use matching DOCSIS cable modems at the head end and the customer premises, providing bidirectional paths and Internet access.Distributed HFC access network with redundant protection system, high safety and reliability, good expansibility and good network performance index, can provide good broadband transmission network platform for carrying out bidirectional interactive digital TV business.

The user terminal DVB receiving system

User-end devices (Set top box) provide final reception of programs and services to guests.DVB STB makes TV from passive receiving analog TV to interactive receiving digital TV and data broadcast. We provide mpeg4 AVC HD STB and mpeg2 SD STB for choice.

How to configure the system

1) IRD

a.FTA DVB-S2 RF no need changing coding mode:

IRD1218(8 RF in,240 IP and 2ASI out)

b.Encrypt DVB-S2 RF descrambling via cam card and no need changing coding mode:

IRD 1340(4 RF CI IRD)

c.DVB-S2 need to change coding mode:

ENC3580(mpeg2 to mpeg4 avc,mpeg4 avc to mpeg2)

2) Encoder

Encrypted program received by satellite receiver or local program output A/V or HDMI:

Broadcast HD MPEG4 AVC Encoder(ENC3381),

Broadcast MPEG2/H264 Magnum SD Encoder(ENC3184),

Broadcast MPEG2 SD Encoder(ENC3084).

3) Modulator

If you need over 50 programs, We recommend you choose multiplexing scrambling,modulation highly integration highly integratedhighly integration highly integration highly integration qam modulator base on IP , such as our IPQ6250( up to 48 qam).

If less than 50 program, we suggest common modulator for cost thinking ,such as our RF/ASI/IP to QAM modulator QAM6248(up to 4qam per unit) for operators
